DQ Tycoon is a strategy/management game. The game puts you in the shoes of Emily, a girl that was just recently hired at a Dairy Queen store. The store has never made a real profit, but it is up to you to help Emily to turns things around. The game's idea is nice and the game's presentation is very good. However, some gamers will struggle to enjoy it. It starts in a very simple way: customers arrive and they decide what they want to order; you click on the register to take the order, go to the right machine to get the product, and click on the register again to make the sale. Repeat as fast as you can so customers don't wait too much. As you progress in the game, you can start hiring employees, which are pretty much useless because they are much slower than Emily, besides they start taking the same orders you are already taking. Also, you will start managing other stores, but you must decide where you will work, and where to hire managers to take care of those stores, which are also pretty much useless. There is a point where you try to click on a machine to get the product, and it doesn't work, so you are stuck for some obscure reason, ruining business. DQ Tycoon is a nice idea. However, there are a number of issues that will not make the game enjoyable. |
